Learn to make and drink Ibiza’s most famous liqueur
Hierbas (pronounced “year-bas”) literally mean “herbs” in Spanish and it’s also the name of the famous local Ibiza liqueur you would have been offered as an digestif in the local restaurants.
This liqueur has been traditionally made on the island for centuries and is deeply ingrained into the culture of Ibiza.
In this unique experience you will join others in learning all about this iconic liqueur, the wild herbs that go into making it, and make your own bottle to take home with you.
Workshops will be in English and are held each day during summer in the afternoon at beautiful locations around the island.

Workshops include several artisanal brands of hierbas from different locations around the island for you to try so you can see what the variation between brands is like.
We’ll go through some of the history, revealing some quirky facts, why the locals were making it in the first place, and touch on a deeper history of alcohols relationship with herbs and medicine.
There will be a beautiful display of all the freshly picked wild herbs from Ibiza’s country side which you can touch and smell and taste. We’ll also cover some of the medicinal properties of each and let you know where you can find them in the wild. You can even join us to pick them yourself in the forrest – more details below.
Finally the part which is the most fun – Get creative and make your own version! We will guide you on how to select the right quantity of herbs so that your own hierbas suits your own tastes. To add the perfect final touch you will receive a personalised label and get to authentically seal your bottle with wax.
A perfect way to start the evening, where you will meet people, share a new experience and have fun.
